No such radio antenna or other device as described in Section 16.32.010 shall be constructed, erected, or installed in the city unless a permit therefor has first been obtained from the city Building Official. Applications for such permits shall be made to the Building Official and shall be in writing. A fee assessed in accordance with the applicable version of the Uniform Building Code shall be charged for each such permit, to be paid at the time of application therefor. Temporary installations for the purpose of finding the best location for the antenna or for the demonstration of appliances or similar purposes shall fully conform to the ordinances of the city, but may be made upon notice to the Community Development Director, which notice may be verbal or in writing and shall give the address of the premises where such installation is being made and the name of the occupant thereof. No fee shall be payable or permit required for such temporary installations, but upon the same being made permanent a permit shall be obtained therefor and fee paid as provided in this section. No temporary installation shall continue for more than thirty (30) days and upon the expiration of such time shall be considered permanent and a permit obtained and fee paid.
