A. Application for any license or identification card required by this chapter shall be made to the Finance Director upon such form as the Finance Director shall require. Such application shall show thereon the applicant’s name, age, date of birth, and previous residence and occupation for a period of not less than five (5) years immediately prior to such application, the address of his place of business, and the name of his employer, if any; and shall state whether or not the applicant has ever been convicted of a felony or forfeited bond. The application shall be signed and verified by the applicant. If the applicant is a firm or corporation, the application shall be signed by a duly authorized officer of the firm or corporation and shall give the local address and place of business of such firm or corporation.

B. All applications for a license shall be forwarded to the Police Chief for investigation and report. The Police Chief shall require that each applicant be fingerprinted and his photograph taken; and an investigation shall be made into the background of the applicant.

C. The licenses required by this chapter do not absolve a taxicab company owner or self-employed taxi driver from also obtaining and maintaining a business license as provided by Chapter 5.04. (Ord. 2924, 4/23/19; Ord. 1464, 1990; Ord. 993, 1980)
