The City of Moses Lake indemnifies and holds personally harmless all of its elected and appointed officials and employees for any civil action, claim, or proceeding instituted against any of those individuals arising out of the performance, purported performance, or failure of performance in good faith of the duties for, or the employment with, the city. The City of Moses Lake holds said individuals harmless from any expenses connected with the defense, settlement, or monetary judgments from such actions, claims, or proceedings. The purchase of insurance for this purpose for those individuals shall not be considered compensation to them. (Ord. 1266, 1987)
