The City Council may grant variances from the standards set forth in this chapter upon the finding that the grant of a variance is in the best interest and welfare of the community and that fire protection will not be compromised. The Fire Chief shall provide a recommendation to the City Council on whether or not in his opinion fire protection would be compromised. (Ord. 2007, 2/27/01)
