It is the purpose and intent of the city to promote safety and enjoyment of individuals using the waterways of the city and to protect the interests and welfare of the property owners adjacent to the waterways subject to the jurisdiction of the City of Moses Lake and those of the general community at large. Finding that it is in the best interests, health, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Moses Lake to regulate the use of those waterways adjacent to the City of Moses Lake, this ordinance is deemed necessary. This ordinance is intended to supplement, but not to infringe upon, boating safety laws and regulations of the State of Washington and the United States. (Ord. 1576, 1993)
