Whenever a dog is seized and impounded under this chapter, the failure to either reclaim the dog or to give a written surrender of the dog to the animal control authority shall result in the owner being prohibited from registering any new dogs in the City for a period of one (1) year. This prohibition shall not apply to the renewal of any existing dog license. (Ord. 2757, 3/24/15)
