Following the Department’s determination of the category of wetland associated with the proposal, the appropriate buffer widths shall be determined. Wetland buffer zones shall be evaluated for all development proposals adjacent to a wetland(s) in order to protect the ecological function and value of the wetland. Except as otherwise permitted by this chapter, the buffer areas shall consist of an undisturbed area of existing native vegetation and non-native vegetation. The following minimum buffer widths shall be required for the following wetland categories:
